ECWA Men’s Fellowship Zonkwa DCC Honours Hon. Lawal E. Chechet (LASH) for Selfless Service to Humanity

The ECWA Men's Fellowship, Zonkwa District Church Council (DCC), has honoured Hon. Lawal E. Chechet (LASH) in recognition of his outstanding and selfless service to humanity, as well as his unwavering commitment to community development.
The recognition was presented during the fellowship’s conference held in Zonkwa, where leaders and members of the fellowship commended Hon. Chechet for his dedication to improving the welfare and livelihoods of people across the Zangon Kataf / Jaba Federal Constituency.
The award symbolizes commitment, sacrifice, and purposeful leadership, highlighting the importance of community development as a pathway toward economic emancipation and empowerment of the people. It also reflects the deep respect Hon. Chechet has consistently shown toward religious institutions and their critical role in fostering unity, moral values, and societal progress.
Speaking during the event, Hon. Emmanuel Lawal E. Chechet expressed gratitude to the fellowship for the recognition, describing it as both an honour and a call to continue serving humanity with humility and dedication.
“I am deeply honoured by this recognition from the ECWA Men’s Fellowship. Service to humanity remains one of the greatest responsibilities of leadership. With faith in God and the collective support of our people, we will continue to work toward building stronger and more prosperous communities,” he said.
Hon. Chechet further emphasized that his leadership vision for the Zangon Kataf / Jaba Federal Constituency is anchored on rural transformation, agro-entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, and improved healthcare services for the people.
He noted that his participation in the fellowship’s conference demonstrates his commitment not only to community service but also to spiritual growth, stressing the importance of placing God at the center of leadership and development.
“God is the architect of every successful project. When God is involved in our plans and aspirations, success becomes inevitable. Our vision for building and transforming the Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency must therefore remain rooted in faith, unity, and dedication to the welfare of our people,” he added.
Hon. Chechet reaffirmed his commitment to the continued development, unity, and progress of the constituency as stakeholders work together toward a brighter and more prosperous future.
