ANNOUNCEMENT OF TOP EDITORS DURING THE
TYAP WIKIMEDIANS ZARIA OUTREACH

During the event, we were informed that the highest overall editors for the event would be announced to today, Monday, 6 November 2023, right? Oh, yes!
Afwun kya ka! | Na today! | It's today!
GENDER EQUITY:
For gender equity, we made it into the top four male editors and top four female editors so the males don't get to take all the prizes and leave the females behind.
KEY CRITERION FOR SELECTION:
We had to look into what each person did and it was not just enough copying and pasting items from the English Wikipedia to Tyap Wikipedia, one has to actually translate or endeavour to translate an article or entry to Tyap. Your total edits also matter, and you can see the summary of your participation on the Outreach Dashboard via the link: https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/courses/Tyap_Wikimedians_User_Group/Tyap_Wikimedians_Zaria_Outreach_(14-29_October_2023)
Also, the event organizers were excluded from the competition.
ONLINE PARTICIPATION:
We had an outstanding performance from an online participant who joined the program from the livestream on our handle on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/wikityap?mibextid=ZbWKwL and did excellently well.
IN-PERSON PARTICIPATION:
Some of us present in person also performed well, while others could not even create any account at all, despite being there live, maybe due to faulty devices, IP blocks, or something else.
