As part of a strategic three-day consultative tour, Hon. Chechet paid courtesy visits to respected party leaders and grassroots stakeholders across the constituency. Among those visited was Hon. Alex Yayit,
former councillor of his ward, who expressed deep satisfaction with the aspirant’s vision and leadership style and pledged his unwavering support.
These engagements underscore Hon. Chechet’s commitment to inclusive politics and consensus-building—anchored on listening, consultation, and unity—values critical to effective and people-centered representation.

Recognizing the enduring role of culture, tradition, and moral authority in governance, Hon. Chechet visited the palaces of eminent traditional rulers across Zangon Kataf, including the Agwatyap, Agwam Kajju, Angbiar Anghan, and Agwom Akulu, to formally introduce himself and seek royal fatherly blessings.
At each palace, Hon. Chechet expressed profound respect for the traditional institutions, acknowledging their pivotal role in preserving peace, unity, and cultural identity within the constituency. He described his aspiration as a response to a “call to serve”—a commitment to restore confidence in leadership and amplify the voices of the people at the federal level. “This journey is not about personal ambition alone,” Hon. Chechet noted.
“It is about dignified representation, responsive leadership, and creating opportunities that reflect the yearnings of our people.”
In their separate remarks, the royal fathers warmly received the aspirant, commending his humility, courage, and sense of responsibility. They described his aspiration as timely and refreshing, especially at a time when youth participation in governance is urgently needed.
